Description
These magnetic chitosan drug-loaded nanoparticles (Magnetic chitosan drug-loaded nanoparticles) combine an inorganic iron oxide mineral core with a natural cationic glucosamine-based polymer coating. The structural layout provides a rapid magnetic field response while presenting an outer layer abundant in highly reactive primary amine groups. It exhibits great colloidal stability in weakly acidic to neutral solutions due to strong electrostatic and steric hindrance forces.
