Description

This highly advanced responsive core-shell tracking material features manganese dioxide nanoparticles and indocyanine green co-loaded pegylated liposomes. The complex structural framework encapsulates super-thin manganese dioxide (MnO2) nanoparticles alongside the near-infrared tricarboxylic dye indocyanine green (ICG) within its aqueous core, utilizing a lipid bilayer envelope surface-modified with dense polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymer brushes. Under baseline laboratory conditions, the vesicle matrix remains highly stable; however, exposure to specific reducing or acidic environments dissolves the MnO2 core into ionic manganese, triggering rapid internal pressure changes, altered near-infrared fluorescence tracking profiles, and instantaneous cargo mass transport.
