Xylan-PEG-methacrylate creates a ternary composite configuration formulated to combine the ecologically favorable carbohydrate architecture of xylan—a β-1,4-xylose-based biopolymer derived from plant hemicellulose sources—with methacrylate's functional characteristics via PEG-mediated conjugation.
