Description

These gold nanoparticles are modified with methyl-terminated ligands, resulting in a hydrophobic surface chemistry. The modification alters the interfacial energy of the particles, allowing them to remain stable in non-polar organic solvents. They exhibit a sharp surface plasmon resonance (SPR) peak that is highly sensitive to the surrounding dielectric environment.
