Description

These scaffolds are composed of a polymer matrix heavily loaded with nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAP) particles to create a mineral-rich nanofibrous network. The nHAP particles provide a high density of calcium and phosphate groups, mimicking the inorganic phase of natural hard tissues. This structure is used to study the interaction between minerals and polymers and to research the development of bioactive surfaces for non-human in vitro material studies.
