Description

This advanced engineered multi-phase formulation features nanoscale paclitaxel loaded ligand-functionalized lipid microbubbles. The sub-micron architecture consists of a gaseous nano-core (composed of stable perfluorocarbon gases) enveloped within a monolayer shell of high-purity phospholipids and pegylated lipids that integrates the highly hydrophobic diterpenoid paclitaxel directly within its lipophilic tail domain, whose outer surface is modified with targeting ligands. This complex layout balances a dense target-mimetic array with the acoustic resonance and echogenic parameters of a compressed gas core, completely preventing gas dissolution and taxane crystallization under ambient laboratory conditions.
