  • NPL production service

NPL exists as a dimer. It is currently extracted from both bulbs and leaves of N. pseudonarcissus. We optimize the reported extraction methods using both bulbs and leaves. Buffer-soaked extraction is followed by precipitation through ammonium sulfate. To obtain high-purity NPL, we use a combination of Ion Exchange Chromatography and Affinity Chromatography for purification. After purification, pure NPL is finally obtained by freeze-drying.

NPL is an unglycosylated homodimer with a molecular weight of 26 kDa. We develop customized biochemical characterization protocols. Molecular mass, hemagglutination activity, thermal stability, sugar-binding specificity, and amino acid composition are measured. We also use circular dichroism to determine the secondary structure of NPL.

We also produce a variety of labeled conjugate products using purified NPL, including peroxidase conjugate, agarose conjugate, colloidal gold conjugate, and others.
