Description
Poly(acrylic acid)/poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PAAc/PNIPA IPN) hydrogels are interpenetrating polymer networks consisting of two independent crosslinked systems. The structure combines the ph-responsive nature of poly(acrylic acid) with the thermo-responsive behavior of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide). This dual-network composition allows for independent control over swelling ratios in response to multiple external stimuli.
