Properties
Description
These paclitaxel-loaded mesoporous copper oxide (CuO) nanospheres feature a crystalline transition metal oxide matrix structured with a highly ordered network of sub-micron porous channels. The inorganic composition provides strong structural rigidity and a dense surface area that adsorbs and isolates the hydrophobic diterpenoid compound paclitaxel. It exhibits a slow, dissolution-controlled mass transfer curve that is coupled with the gradual erosion of the copper oxide framework.
