Description

This specialized multi-component formulation features paramagnetic long-circulating nanoliposomes (PEG-GD-LP). The sub-micron vesicular anatomy features a high-purity phospholipid bilayer matrix integrated with gadolinium-chelated lipids (GD) to provide high electron density and paramagnetic tracking parameters, whose exterior surface is modified with functionalized polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymer anchors. These specialized polymer-lipid conjugates modify membrane curvature and introduce a dense hydrophilic steric brush layer on the outer boundary, preventing physical vesicle aggregation and isolating the active core.
