Description

This specialized anionic membrane formulation features phosphatidylcholine (PC) and cardiolipin blended in a precise 85:15 molar ratio. The vesicular architecture consists of a dominant matrix of zwitterionic phosphatidylcholine (85 mol% PC) interspersed with 15 mol% cardiolipin. This low cardiolipin concentration creates a moderate negative surface charge profile and introduces subtle packing defects within the fluid zwitterionic matrix, providing an excellent baseline reference model for studying trace cardiolipin-dependent protein recruitment in non-mitochondrial membrane mimics.
