Lentinan-PEG-polyethyleneimine, termed PEI-lentinan, features a cationic polymer conjugate formed by attaching PEI chains to lentinan's β-glucan via PEG spacers. The gene delivery system combines nucleic acid binding capacity with lentinan's macrophage-activating effects and DPPS membrane interactions.
