Description

These scaffolds feature a blend of poly(glycerol sebacate) (PGS) and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) nanofibers. PGS is a highly elastic, biodegradable elastomer, while PLLA provides the necessary structural rigidity to the nanofibrous mat. The resulting hybrid scaffold is used to research the properties of biodegradable elastomeric networks and to study the mechanical behavior of flexible, multi-component synthetic fibers in non-clinical research.
