Description
These mesoporous silica nanoparticles are modified with functional groups or molecular "gatekeepers" that respond to changes in the acidity of the surrounding environment. Under specific pH levels, the gates open or the surface charge shifts, allowing for the controlled diffusion of guests into or out of the pore network. The silica framework ensures mechanical durability and high surface area for large-scale molecular loading.
