Description

This product consists of phloretin proliposomes [phloretin proliposomes (PUE PLs)] formulated as a solid-state dry powder precursor matrix to enhance the dispersion of a hydrophobic dihydrochalcone polyphenol. The microarchitecture features a water-soluble carbohydrate carrier network uniformly coated with a layer of dehydrated phospholipids and cholesterol alongside the active agent phloretin. This dry configuration completely prevents the rapid chemical oxidation and crystallographic phase separation of the polyphenol structure during extended storage. Upon standard hydration with an aqueous phase, the matrix dissolves completely and self-assembles into a uniform suspension of sub-micron liposomes.
