These scaffolds consist of polylactic acid (PLA) fibers integrated with nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAp) particles via electrospinning. The PLA acts as a biodegradable synthetic framework, while the nHAp provides an inorganic mineral phase that increases the scaffold's stiffness and bio-affinity. The resulting composite structure is utilized to research the mineral-polymer interface and to study the mechanical reinforcement of nanofibers by bioactive ceramics.
