Description
This material consists of hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles (HMSN) with polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride (PHMG) grafted onto the surface and within the pores. PHMG is a powerful cationic polymer known for its strong antimicrobial properties. The hollow mesoporous structure provides a reservoir for the polymer, allowing for its sustained presence and high activity. This design is engineered to create a high-surface-area, functionalized silica platform with specialized surface-active properties.
