Description
Polyvinyl alcohol/polyvinyl pyrrolidone/water-soluble chitosan (PVA/PVP/ws-chitosan) hydrogels are multicomponent polysaccharide-synthetic polymer blends. The composition combines the mechanical strength of pva, the hydrophilicity of pvp, and the antimicrobial potential of chitosan. The structure is formed through physical entanglement or chemical crosslinking, resulting in a versatile composite matrix.
