Description

This highly advanced responsive system features redox-responsive chitosan-coated liposomes designed for disulfide-cleavage phase boundary analysis. The structural framework consists of a high-purity phospholipid vesicle core whose exterior boundary is completely enveloped by an outer layer of chitosan polymer chains cross-linked via disulfide-containing redox-responsive linkages. Upon encountering specific reducing agents (such as dithiothreitol or glutathione) in a laboratory setup, the immediate cleavage of the disulfide bonds destabilizes the polymer coating and alters the lipid packing geometry, triggering rapid cargo mass transport.
