Description

This highly complex dual-modified system features cyclic arginylglycylaspartic acid and octaarginine peptide dual-functionalized ergotamine and afatinib co-loaded liposomes. The advanced structural matrix encapsulates the multi-phase compounds ergotamine (ERG) and afatinib (Afa) concurrently within the aqueous core and lipid bilayer shell, whose exterior surface is dual-modified with cyclic arginylglycylaspartic acid (RGD) targeting peptides and cell-penetrating octaarginine (R8) peptides linked via polymer-lipid anchors. This multi-component configuration balances a highly dense cationic surface charge density and strong electrostatic repulsive forces with a dense target-mimetic ligand array, completely preventing physical vesicle aggregation.
