Description

This formulation features rhodamine 660-containing 5-fluorouracil loaded ethosomes engineered as an elastic ethanol-lipid hybrid tracking matrix. The structural framework incorporates the hydrophilic pyrimidine analogue 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) within a highly flexible vesicle matrix composed of phospholipids, water, and an elevated concentration of ethanol, which is fluorescently tagged with the near-infrared fluorophore rhodamine 660. The elevated ethanol fraction fluidizes the lipid tails to enhance membrane deformability, while the embedded rhodamine 660 provides high optical tracking stability and a sharp fluorescent emission signature under ambient laboratory testing conditions.
