These rod-like methotrexate-loaded nanoclusters are engineered with an anisotropic, elongated crystalline or polymeric morphology carrying an antifolate organic payload. The unique rod-like geometry alters the interfacial hydrodynamic drag and surface area distribution compared to conventional spherical nanostructures. It maintains highly consistent structural parameters and exhibits distinct orientation behaviors when subjected to fluid shear stress inside laboratory flow channels.
