Description

This complex scaffold consists of silk fibroin (SF) fibers integrated with bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) and nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAP). The SF provides a tough, protein-based scaffold, the nHAP adds mineral bio-affinity, and the BMP-2 serves as a specialized signaling molecule for research purposes. This product is used to study the synergistic release of proteins and minerals from a natural fibrous network in non-human in vitro material experiments.
