Description

These three-dimensional scaffolds are composed of silk fibroin (sf) and collagen (col) blended with the elastic copolymer poly(lactide-co-caprolactone) (plcl). the 3d architecture provides a significant volumetric depth and high void volume, distinguishing it from conventional two-dimensional thin films. the resulting structure combines the biomimetic chemical cues of proteins with the excellent elastic recovery and flexibility of the plcl matrix.
