Description

These nanoparticles consist of a metallic silver (Ag) core encapsulated in a transparent, protective silica shell. The silica layer prevents the silver from aggregating and oxidizing, maintaining its unique plasmonic and antimicrobial properties over long periods. The shell thickness is precisely controlled to allow for the tuning of the optical properties and to facilitate the loading of chemical guests onto the silica surface.
