UM-164, soluble in DMSO and insoluble in ethanol and water, blocks the activity of Src kinases, which are involved in various cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, and survival, and have been implicated in the progression of several cancers and other diseases. It targets c-Src, p38α, and p38β.
UM-164 is utilized in studies to target Src kinase in breast cancer models, contributing to the understanding of breast cancer biology.
