Description

This product consists of tanshinone proliposomes formulated as a solid-state dry powder precursor matrix to enhance the dispersion of a hydrophobic phenanthrenequinone compound mixture. The structure is composed of microcrystalline sugar or polyol carriers that support a uniform layer of dehydrated phospholipids and the active plant extract component tanshinone. This dry configuration completely prevents chemical oxidation and crystallization of the quinone structures during extended laboratory storage. Upon exposure to an aqueous phase, the solid matrix dissolves immediately, allowing the lipid components to spontaneously form small liposomal vesicles enclosing the compound.
