Properties
Description
Thiol-polyethylene glycol-functionalized gold nanorods (HS-PEG-AuNRs) are rod-like gold nanostructures covalently capped with a protective blanket of thiolated polyethylene glycol chains. The dense polymer coating replaces fragile surfactant layers, suppressing structural transformations and core aggregation across broad thermal and chemical intervals. This product displays excellent colloidal dispersibility in both water and polar organic media due to the amphiphilic properties of the PEG segments.
