Description

This multi-cargo delivery system features a tetraphenylethylene derivative aggregation-induced emission photosensitizer and paclitaxel co-loaded liposomes (TPCI/PTX@Lipo). The structural framework consists of a stable phospholipid bilayer shell that simultaneously accommodates the highly hydrophobic taxane paclitaxel (PTX) and the lipophilic aggregation-induced emission photosensitizer (TPCI) within its interior lipophilic tail domain. This unique configuration prevents the rapid crystallographic phase separation and precipitation of both components in open aqueous media while utilizing the emission characteristics of the photosensitizer for real-time membrane tracking. The resulting composite vesicles exhibit high colloidal stability and a highly uniform spherical morphology.
