The solid-core architecture consists of a rigid, self-assembled block copolymer matrix of polyethylene glycol and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PEG-PLGA) encapsulating the highly hydrophobic diterpenoid paclitaxel, emulsified and stabilized by an outer surfactant layer of d-alpha-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate (TPGS). This rigid solid-core configuration completely immobilizes the diterpenoid within the solid polymer matrix, preventing rapid cargo leakage and shielding the active core from premature crystallization or precipitation in open laboratory media.
