Description

This advanced inorganic core-shell material features polymer-stabilized zinc oxide quantum dots. The sub-micron architecture consists of a luminescent zinc oxide (ZnO) quantum dot core enveloped within a protective shell composed of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymer brushes functionalized with folic acid (FA) targeting ligands. This complex configuration balances a bright, narrow-band luminescent tracking baseline with a dense target-mimetic polymer array, completely preventing core heavy metal degradation and physical particle aggregation in open laboratory media.
