Description
This bio-inorganic heterostructure features a face-centered cubic gold core encapsulated within a continuous crystalline cuprous oxide (Cu2O) outer shell, surface-conjugated with a monolayer of macromolecular antibodies. The cuprous oxide shell provides distinct p-type metal-semiconductor heterojunctions, while the antibody corona masks the surface energy and keeps the antigen-recognition regions oriented outward.
