This bio-inorganic hybrid material comprises a crystalline manganese monoxide (MnO) core encapsulated within a continuous face-centered cubic gold outer shell, surface-conjugated with a monolayer of structurally intact macromolecular antibodies. The gold shell isolates the oxide core, while the antibody corona masks the surface energy and keeps the antigen-recognition regions oriented fully outward toward the continuous fluid.
