Description
This core-shell material features a face-centered cubic gold core encapsulated within a crystalline cuprous oxide (Cu2O) shell, surface-functionalized with an organic monolayer terminating in free carboxylic acid (-COOH) handles. The carboxyl handles generate a negative surface charge density across neutral environments for carbodiimide crosslinking, while the core maintains active electronic junctions.
