This inorganic material features a highly anisotropic, rod-like morphology consisting of crystalline cerium oxide (CeO2) nanorods displaying a fluorite crystal lattice structure. The nanorod configuration exposes a high density of reactive high-energy crystal facets, which maximize the dynamic equilibrium between trivalent and tetravalent cerium oxidation states at the surface. This structural design provides exceptional chemical stability and highly predictable oxygen storage capacity.
