Properties
Description
Endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase (Endo S) is a highly specific hydrolase that hydrolyzes only the β-1,4-di-N-acetylchitosan core of the asparagine-linked complex glycan on the γ-chain of the IgG antibody, Asn-297.
Unit Definition
One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that more than 95% of carbohydrates were removed from 5 μg human IgG at 37°C, in a 10 μL reaction system reacting 1 hour.
Applications
Endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase (Endo S) can be used to detect and quantify glycosylated modified proteins.
