This inorganic core-shell nanomaterial features a face-centered cubic gold core encapsulated within a continuous, crystalline titanium dioxide (TiO2) outer shell. The metal-semiconductor heterojunction establishes a distinct Schottky barrier that accelerates surface charge separation and alters optical absorption bands via plasmonic hot-electron injection channels.
