Description

This purely inorganic material features a heterogeneous design consisting of a crystalline calcium phosphate hydroxyapatite (HAp) mineral template decorated with metallic silver nanoparticles. The underlying HAp matrix provides outstanding chemical and thermal resilience alongside an abundance of active surface phosphate and calcium sites that restrict silver nanoparticle migration and sintering. This structural configuration successfully pairs the distinctive localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) and catalytic traits of silver with the structural loading properties of a natural mineral crystal.
