Description
As a monosaccharide precursor to Lipid A, Lipid X consists of a 2,3-diacyl-glucosamine-1-phosphate structure. It is primarily used to investigate the early enzymatic steps of the Raetz pathway and as a competitive inhibitor in endotoxin signaling assays.
