Lycopersicon Esculentum Lectin Production Service

Lycopersicon Esculentum Lectin Production Service

Lycopersicon esculentum Lectin (LEL) Production Service at CD BioGlyco

CD BioGlyco is a high-tech biological company integrating Lectin Production and sales. The nature and properties of LEL have now been elucidated. It has a certain molecular weight (45-138 kDa) and is mainly carbohydrate-specific for GalNAc. LEL is a typical chitin-binding lectin, trimerized with at least two chitin-binding domains. It is found to agglutinate human erythrocytes but was not blood group specific. Based on the carbohydrate-binding specificity of LEL, it is used for further cellular detection and visualization and is an effective marker for microglia. We offer a one-stop LEL production service to meet the various needs of our clients for the Production of Plant Lectins such as LEL.

  • LEL production service

We extract lectins from L. esculentum fruits. Based on the reported extraction Method, the crude extract is obtained by salt extraction and precipitation. LEL is mainly obtained by Affinity Chromatography purification. The researchers obtained a 74 kDa LEL by affinity adsorption. It is N-acetylglucosamine specific. Larger lectins (130 and 100 KDa) are also isolated from L. esculentum fruit by affinity chromatography. Based on the reported purification methods, we further purify the crude extract by affinity chromatography. The purified LEL is finally obtained by dialysis and freeze-drying.

L. esculentum fruits contain several lectins with different molecular weight sizes. It is necessary to test their biochemical properties after isolation and purification. A detailed biochemical characterization program is developed according to client requirements. Molecular weight, carbohydrate specificity, hemagglutination activity, amino acid sequence, etc., are all measured.

  • LEL and its conjugate products

Lectins are labeled by fluorescein, enzymes, and biotin, and are used in cell biology and other fields. In addition to LEL, we offer a variety of related products, including but not limited to the following:

Applications of LEL Production

  • LEL is an easy-to-use marker. We produce LEL for in vitro characterization of cultured isolated cells.
  • LEL has sugar-binding specificity and binds to specific oligosaccharides. Our LELs are used to develop biospecific contrast agents.
  • Our LELs are used in affinity chromatography to isolate specific glycoproteins.

Highlights of Us

  • We optimize the LEL production method to avoid some of the problems associated with traditional lectin production, including low yields, cumbersome steps, etc.
  • With a wide range of high-quality products and attentive service, we have won wide acclaim from our clients.

CD BioGlyco has always been committed to providing quality research reagents and good research services to clients on the front line of scientific research. We have a specialized quality control system to ensure the quality of our products and the smooth running of experiments. Please feel free to contact us for information about LEL products and the production process. Our research team will provide you with the best help and support according to their rich research experience.
