Description
This material features a crystalline manganese dioxide (MnO2) matrix displaying a highly ordered mesoporous pore network, surface-functionalized with an organic monolayer terminating in active maleimide rings. The maleimide handles provide high-affinity, specific coordinate links with thiol-bearing compounds (-SH) without altering the underlying redox-responsive dissolution kinetics of the oxide framework.
