A core-shell composite featuring a crystalline manganese monoxide (MnO) core encapsulated in a face-centered cubic metallic gold outer shell, passivated with linear poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) brushes. The PEG shield ensures excellent colloidal dispersion in salt-dense environments.
