Description

This organic-inorganic composite material features a high-performance polyimide (PI) polymer matrix whose external surfaces are modified or embedded with a dense distribution of crystalline silver (Ag) nanoparticles. The rigid polyimide substrate introduces outstanding thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical tensile strength, while the superficial silver nanoparticle layer injects distinct localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) optical characteristics and electrical conductivity across the polymer boundary. This structural configuration alters the surface energy and light-reflection parameters without impacting the bulk mechanical traits of the polymer.
