Description
This material features a face-centered cubic gold core encapsulated within a crystalline titanium dioxide (TiO2) outer shell, surface-passivated by a self-assembled monolayer terminating in thiol (-SH) handles. The thiol headgroups establish strong coordinate interactions with the metal oxide facets, providing stable chemical coordinates that protect the underlying semiconductor shell from unselective fouling.
