These 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-hydroxyphenyl)porphyrin (THPP) conjugated sodium yttrium fluoride ytterbium erbium at sodium yttrium fluoride ytterbium neodymium (NaYF4:Yb,Er@NaYF4:Yb,Nd) core-shell upconversion nanoparticles (core-shell UCNPs) feature a sophisticated multi-layered architecture. The composition includes an active core and a protective shell designed to minimize surface quenching and enhance luminescence efficiency through neodymium sensitization. The structure is surface-modified to accommodate porphyrin derivatives for efficient resonant energy transfer.
