Description
These aspartic acid modified water-soluble upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) are functionalized with the acidic amino acid aspartic acid, providing a high density of surface carboxyl groups. This modification imparts a strong negative surface charge and excellent water solubility, making the particles ideal for research involving electrostatic interactions with cationic species. These nanoparticles (UCNPs) maintain the high upconversion efficiency of the lanthanide-doped core.
