Properties
Description
Heat labile exonuclease I (HL-ExoI)is an exonuclease that recognizes and cuts the ends of DNA or RNA strands.
Unit Definition
One unit will catalyse the release of 10 nmol of acid soluble nucleotides in 30 min at 25°C.
Source
Recombinantly produced in an E. coli strain expressing the HL-ExoI gene originating from an Arctic marine bacterium.
Applications
Heat labile exonuclease I (HL-ExoI) can be used in the final cleanup step of a DNA sequencing reaction.
