Description

These lanthanum fluoride:ytterbium,erbium (LaF₃:Yb³⁺, Er³⁺) upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) are fluoride-based emitters that use lanthanum as the host cation. The crystal structure of LaF₃ provides a unique local environment that results in distinct upconversion spectra compared to NaYF₄-based particles. The synthesis process yields small, stable nanoparticles that are easily dispersible in a variety of solvents.
