Description
These lentinan modified water-soluble upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs@Lentinan) are functionalized with a β-1,3-glucan polysaccharide. The lentinan coating provides a hydrophilic shell that stabilizes the upconverting cores (UCNPs) in aqueous solutions through steric repulsion. This hybrid material is used to investigate the properties of polysaccharide-nanoparticle complexes and their behavior in chemical models.
