Description
These methylene blue (MB) conjugated sodium yttrium fluoride ytterbium erbium at sodium yttrium fluoride ytterbium neodymium (NaYF4,Yb,Er@NaYF4,Yb,Nd) core-shell upconversion nanoparticles (core-shell UCNPs) combine red-emitting cores with a neodymium-sensitized shell. The composition allows the use of 808 nm light to drive the excitation of mb through internal energy migration and upconversion. The physical structure is surface-treated to ensure the mb dye is robustly attached for consistent performance.
